Canon Burk Atchley

He is HERE!! :) Our second little baby boy made his debut into this crazy world on August 17, 2011 at 2:03 a.m. He weighed 6 lbs 11 oz and was 18.5" long. I went into labor Tuesday evening and things progressed pretty quickly...but all in all, labor and delivery were both pretty easy, stress free and quick! Keller is adjusting well to his new baby brother, he loves him and always asks "where baby canon??" if we wake him up while canon is still napping :) here are some pictures of our newest addition! we don't think he looks anything like keller did at that age, his hair was almost blonde, and his eyes are blue (i'm sure they will change, but keller's were DARK from day 1) I think this little guy is going to look like his daddy...lucky guy will be so handsome!

house reno!!

we recently did a LOT of work to the inside (and a little to the outside) of our house. we absolutely love our home, it has tons of space, lots of built-ins, it is in a WONDERFUL neighborhood (with the BEST neighbors), beautiful trees...etc etc etc. but, there were a few things we wanted to change since we moved in, in november. we waited a while to make sure we were going to actually be in this house for a while and now that we know...we did some renovations! i only have these 2 "before and after" pictures...they don't really do justice to what all was changed, but it's a brief shot. :)

happy birthday to me...27!!

almost a month ago, i had a birthday!! it was kind of a bummer because chris had to leave that day to go back to training :( but we did get to celebrate the night before my birthday and my family took care of me that day! here are a few pics...

My baby sister got married!! (almost 2 months ago...)

on june 4th, in a beautiful ceremony at our home church in duncan, followed by a rockin' reception at the country club...maggie elizabeth england married andrew steven vincent, and they have been living happily ever after for the last almost 2 months :) there are a TON of pictures from her photographers (bbjndesigns.com) these are just a few that i thought needed to be on here! (sidenote: i HIGHLY recommend using bbjn designs/mitch harrison photography. they were awesome to work with, took a million pictures and we love every single one of them!!)

Another Boy!! :)

so we've known this for a month now, but i haven't gotten around to posting! baby atchley #2 is another boy!!! we could not be more thrilled!! knowing that they would be so close in age, i really wanted a little brother for keller...i have already pictured them growing up as best friends!!!! we know we are going to name him Canon, but are debating about a middle name. he is either going to be Canon Burk or Canon Grey.

pros for each: burk is my grandmother's maiden name, plus we really like the name! grey would give him the same initials as chris (cga), plus we really like the name! :) we have about 15 more weeks to decide, plenty of time :) it's only his name that will be with him the rest of his life!!! any thoughts are (i think) appreciated :)

Osama bin Laden, the leading force behind the 9/11 terrorist attacks has been put to death. Today I am so thankful to be an American, and thankful for all the hard working men and women who daily lay down their lives for our country. I pray for all of our troops that are still there, as I am sure this fight is far from over. Thank you God for peace and freedom, things I do not deserve, yet you bless me with anyway.

18 months old!

last week keller hit a big milestone...18 months! wow, time is just going by so fast. i know alot of mom's say this, but seriously he is so smart! his vocabulary is exploding, he is developing the cutest little personality, but he is definitely ALL BOY! he gets in to everything...and i mean everything. a few stats about 18 month old keller:

• height: 33 inches
• weight: 26 lbs
• favorite food: chicken and "pot-ties" (french fries)
• favorite toy: any ball, he picks them up and says "shoot it!"
• favorite activity: playing outside!!
• favorite book: ALL OF THEM, he loves reading and is always bringing books to us "read it?"
• he LOVES taking baths, on bath night, i say "keller are you ready for your bath?" and he literally runs up the stairs
• he loves his sunday school teacher/mdo teacher/nanny @ the gym miss linda...seriously loves her
• he likes other kids, who he calls "buddies" but especially "giols" (girls)
• he enjoys singing...a few favorites "jesus loves me" "holy, holy, holy" "old mcdonald" "bingo"
• he also enjoys dancing, especially to "move it" lol, he says "mood it, mood it!!" and stomps around
• he knows all his colors except red (which is thinks is either "piiiint" or "owange") and occasionally misses on "gween"
• he loves going out to gg's to see the cows...he loves all animals, but is terrified when they make any noise at him
• his favorite friend is harper pluid. he talks about her all the time and is always calling her on his "pone" he does spend alot of time with her
• cutest phrase he says right now is "i do da" translated...i love you
• we read him his bible story everynight and then pray with him, he is really starting to understand and says "aaa-men" long before we are finished ;)
• knows bodyparts: hair, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, teeth, tongue, chin, belly, toes, knees, booty, arms, hands, and "pee-nit"

he is still very well behaved and says please and thank you, most of the time without being reminded. i couldn't ask for a better baby...and i can't wait to see him in action as a big brother! we love you keller oran!
