O-S-U Cowboys! Go Pokes! :)

saturday was the season opener for our beloved oklahoma state cowboys...they WON! :) sure it was just louisiana lafayette, but it is a start! this season is the first in more than 10 years that we won't have had season tickets :( it was a hard decision for us to make, but with where we are in life, it is the decision that makes sense. chris is RIGHT in the middle of his agency internship, and he is gone for weeks at a time, so his time at home is so precious. also, we have a BRAND new baby (2 1/2 weeks), and the thought of figuring out what to do with him, and our 22 month old was too much. soooo, we watched the opener from the comfort of our couch...eating pizza with our boys :) it was a great saturday night! here is to hoping all the rest of the allegedly televised games are shown in big d ;)

Canon Burk Atchley

He is HERE!! :) Our second little baby boy made his debut into this crazy world on August 17, 2011 at 2:03 a.m. He weighed 6 lbs 11 oz and was 18.5" long. I went into labor Tuesday evening and things progressed pretty quickly...but all in all, labor and delivery were both pretty easy, stress free and quick! Keller is adjusting well to his new baby brother, he loves him and always asks "where baby canon??" if we wake him up while canon is still napping :) here are some pictures of our newest addition! we don't think he looks anything like keller did at that age, his hair was almost blonde, and his eyes are blue (i'm sure they will change, but keller's were DARK from day 1) I think this little guy is going to look like his daddy...lucky guy will be so handsome!

house reno!!

we recently did a LOT of work to the inside (and a little to the outside) of our house. we absolutely love our home, it has tons of space, lots of built-ins, it is in a WONDERFUL neighborhood (with the BEST neighbors), beautiful trees...etc etc etc. but, there were a few things we wanted to change since we moved in, in november. we waited a while to make sure we were going to actually be in this house for a while and now that we know...we did some renovations! i only have these 2 "before and after" pictures...they don't really do justice to what all was changed, but it's a brief shot. :)

almost a month ago, i had a birthday!! it was kind of a bummer because chris had to leave that day to go back to training :( but we did get to celebrate the night before my birthday and my family took care of me that day! here are a few pics...

My baby sister got married!! (almost 2 months ago...)

on june 4th, in a beautiful ceremony at our home church in duncan, followed by a rockin' reception at the country club...maggie elizabeth england married andrew steven vincent, and they have been living happily ever after for the last almost 2 months :) there are a TON of pictures from her photographers (bbjndesigns.com) these are just a few that i thought needed to be on here! (sidenote: i HIGHLY recommend using bbjn designs/mitch harrison photography. they were awesome to work with, took a million pictures and we love every single one of them!!)

Another Boy!! :)

so we've known this for a month now, but i haven't gotten around to posting! baby atchley #2 is another boy!!! we could not be more thrilled!! knowing that they would be so close in age, i really wanted a little brother for keller...i have already pictured them growing up as best friends!!!! we know we are going to name him Canon, but are debating about a middle name. he is either going to be Canon Burk or Canon Grey.

pros for each: burk is my grandmother's maiden name, plus we really like the name! grey would give him the same initials as chris (cga), plus we really like the name! :) we have about 15 more weeks to decide, plenty of time :) it's only his name that will be with him the rest of his life!!! any thoughts are (i think) appreciated :)

Today I am so thankful to be an American, and thankful for all the hard working men and women who daily lay down their lives for our country. I pray for all of our troops that are still there, as I am sure this fight is far from over. Thank you God for peace and freedom, things I do not deserve, yet you bless me with anyway.
