18 months old!

last week keller hit a big milestone...18 months! wow, time is just going by so fast. i know alot of mom's say this, but seriously he is so smart! his vocabulary is exploding, he is developing the cutest little personality, but he is definitely ALL BOY! he gets in to everything...and i mean everything. a few stats about 18 month old keller:

• height: 33 inches
• weight: 26 lbs
• favorite food: chicken and "pot-ties" (french fries)
• favorite toy: any ball, he picks them up and says "shoot it!"
• favorite activity: playing outside!!
• favorite book: ALL OF THEM, he loves reading and is always bringing books to us "read it?"
• he LOVES taking baths, on bath night, i say "keller are you ready for your bath?" and he literally runs up the stairs
• he loves his sunday school teacher/mdo teacher/nanny @ the gym miss linda...seriously loves her
• he likes other kids, who he calls "buddies" but especially "giols" (girls)
• he enjoys singing...a few favorites "jesus loves me" "holy, holy, holy" "old mcdonald" "bingo"
• he also enjoys dancing, especially to "move it" lol, he says "mood it, mood it!!" and stomps around
• he knows all his colors except red (which is thinks is either "piiiint" or "owange") and occasionally misses on "gween"
• he loves going out to gg's to see the cows...he loves all animals, but is terrified when they make any noise at him
• his favorite friend is harper pluid. he talks about her all the time and is always calling her on his "pone" he does spend alot of time with her
• cutest phrase he says right now is "i do da" translated...i love you
• we read him his bible story everynight and then pray with him, he is really starting to understand and says "aaa-men" long before we are finished ;)
• knows bodyparts: hair, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, teeth, tongue, chin, belly, toes, knees, booty, arms, hands, and "pee-nit"

he is still very well behaved and says please and thank you, most of the time without being reminded. i couldn't ask for a better baby...and i can't wait to see him in action as a big brother! we love you keller oran!

growing up FAST

keller is now 16 months old...WOW. i have been telling everyone that i think between 14-16 months keller officially moved from "baby" to "toddler". he is talking non-stop and really has quite the vocabulary. he learns so many new words everyday and i am amazed at how smart he is. of course i'm pretty biased, but he has to be some sort of genius or something ;)

• he recognizes faces and can name everyone in our family.
• he can name his friends. he recognizes buildings, homes, cars etc and knows where we are when we pull up to places.
• he naps once a day for 3-3.5 hours, i always have to wake him up.
• he loves playing outside
• he loves animals...but hates when they make noise at him :)
• he LOVES daddy, and mommy too...but he is daddy's boy for sure
• he likes to climb stairs and then descend on his belly
• he thinks milk is the greatest thing ever
• loves bananas, strawberries, grapes and most other fruit
• loves green beans, corn, peas, carrots, and most other vegetables
• loves chicken, pizza, pasta, cheese, crackers, basically anything you put in front of him
• he sings lots of songs, his favorites are "old mcdonald" "holy holy holy" "itsy bitsy spider" "the clean up song" "patty cake" i'm sure there are more
• he loves loves loves his "video" (your baby can read)

i know i'm leaving things out (because i haven't updated a post in so long) but if i remember anything important i'm sure i'll make another post :) a few pics...

terrible blogger!!

as keller gets older (and baby #2 is on the way), and yardwork, and housework, laundry, part time jobs....oh goodness what was i saying?!? i think something like "i have neglected my blog, and for that i am sorry" :) keller is getting so active and talkative and i want to document ALL OF IT so i can remember. i already find myself forgetting things about when he was a baby. hopefully i can do better, i'll update after this with some new keller info!

this is the type of thing that i should probably have on my photography blog...but i am terrible at keeping that updated. it is so much easier to blog about keller :) but considering the subjects (my sister and her fiance, uncle drew bear) i had to post these. they all turned out great, but these were just a few of my favorites. we are doing a second session in the spring once it warms up...and things turn green :) they were easy to make look good, such a handsome couple, as they say. enjoy!

my kind of january!

okay so i may or may not (hint may) be typing this from my back deck...while i sit on a lounge chair...in january...with a cold one...and by "one" i mean caffeine free diet coke ;) THIS is the kind of january weather that i can deal with! 75 degrees, sunny, not a cloud in the sky, no humidity. now if only the REST of the winter months would get their acts toghether....

keller's day out

this past tuesday keller started his very first "school." i really wanted him to have some social interaction with other kids his age, besides just play dates and church nursery on sunday mornings. our church happened to have an opening and there was one of little buddies already in the class. i won't lie i was pretty nervous about taking and leaving him, just because i really enjoy spending my days with him, and i didn't know what he'd think about being in a strange place all day. well the minute we walked into his classroom he ran over to a tool bench work station and started laughing and playing....i talked to his teacher for a brief second, and said "bye bye keller", he had no idea i was even in the room, totally engulfed in his new environment :) it made me so happy! according to his teacher he had a great time and we are very much looking forward to next week! can't believe my little guy is old enough for this kind of stuff :(

schedule change!!

this has been a big week for keller! he started mother's day out (post to follow) and he dropped his morning nap! he was taking a 2 hour nap every morning from 9-11 in addition to his afternoon nap from 1-3:30....well now he only naps once a day. right now we nap 12:30-3:30 ish, but i'm sure he'll be able to stay up later as he gets more adjusted to this new schedule. i can't believe what a big boy he is :( but i am loving having 2 more hours to play with him during the day! he is the sweetest little boy, and he loves his mommy right now so i'm trying to enjoy it, as i know that phase won't last long.
